The artist beautifies her skin with expressive paints
Dubai-based artist Randa Haddadin beautifies her skin with expressive illustrations. She uses a mixture of paint and pens to render colorful bouquets, delicate portraits and intricate architecture on her thighs.
The ephemeral of the medium gives Haddadin the freedom to experiment in his drawings. While some of his body arts look like vivid paintings, others exhibit a looser quality, as if they were unfinished. In addition, she often merges calligraphy, drawing and painting to create a completely unique piece.
âMy work is my visual journal,â writes Haddadin on his website. “A therapeutic journey of constant self-rediscovery, strongly inspired by my demons and inner dreams, other times inspired by cities and urban contexts, people and fashion.” After creating a spontaneous design on her skin, she can wash it off and reuse the same canvas: her body. âThroughout the process of creating my artwork,â she continues, âsometimes I try to heal or cry or just celebrate a moment in time or an experience in which all of the components of the artwork are important. , from the surface textures I draw from the materials I use to draw with, best known for my ink, coffee, and skin art.
