COS celebrates pride in collaboration with fashion photographer Coco Capitan
London-based fashion label COS is celebrating Pride in its new collaboration with acclaimed photographer Coco Capitan.
COS is launching a capsule collection of T-shirts featuring three unique designs with Coco’s signature writing style that shows messages of love, freedom and inclusiveness.
One design has the words, “always love because love is always love”, a tribute to love in all its forms. This is available from COS Manila SM Aura Premier for PHP3,250.
Meanwhile, the other two models, “A Boyfriend Called My Girlfriend” and “Will You Be My Boyfriend Girl Queer Friend?”, Which explore gender orientations and are inspired by Coco’s personal relationships, are available. in Europe and the United States.
The designs are embroidered on a heavyweight organic cotton t-shirt to give a boxy, structured fit, and will be available in a unisex size.
In addition to the t-shirt, a special edition recycled cotton tote will also be available in the colors of the Progress flag.
The tote, which uses excess cotton from the production process, is designed to replace disposable packaging.
COS said funds raised from the sale of the capsule collection of T-shirts and the Pride edition tote would be donated to LGBT + organizations based in the Philippines, including Galing, a “nonprofit run by women working with and for economically disadvantaged LGBTQI “who” seek to support, educate and promote the fair treatment of all people equally, regardless of class, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.
Another partner is “Love Yourself,” a “LGBT nonprofit organization that provides safe spaces and services to the sexual, mental and transgender community in the Philippines, working for a just and progressive society that treats all people fairly. equal, without distinction of class, sex. , sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.
According to the Business of Fashion website, Coco Capitan is a photographer and artist known for her collaborations with Gucci, her work being featured as part of the brand’s “Art Wall” mural project in New York and Milan.
