A special edition of Project Art that honors Ramadan is taking place at Zabeel House by Jumeirah, The Greens, until May 4. The monthly interactive initiative designed to provide Dubai’s burgeoning artistic community with a free space to exhibit their work features traditional Arabic calligraphy by Omar Aborayan.

Aborayan’s original art is available for purchase throughout his residency

The Egyptian artist is known for using traditional calligraphy to explore the historical and cultural roots of Arabic culture. And the city’s eclectic hotel, described as the neighborhood’s coolest hangout, embraces the spirit of Ramadan with the exhibit that highlights its excellent personal collection. Aborayan revealed that the artworks in the collection are inspired by acclaimed Arab artists like Muthana Al Obaiby and Wissam Shawkat.
